- New hire follows the successful launch of first open-ended fund and supports continued build-out of Franklin Templeton’s private markets platform amidst rising demand from wealth clients
London, 13 January 2026 – Franklin Templeton1, a leading global asset manager with over US$1.6 trillion in assets under management, is pleased to announce the appointment of Kayode Adedoyin to the EMEA Private Markets Wealth team. Based in London, he reports to George Szemere, Head of Alternatives EMEA Wealth Management. Adedoyin’s arrival complements a growing team that includes Katie Lee and Julian Gomez and further strengthens the team’s capabilities as demand for alternative investment solutions continues to accelerate among wealth managers and private banks.
In his new role, Adedoyin will focus on the distribution of Franklin Templeton’s expanding private markets offering for wealth clients across the region, working closely with regional distribution teams. Leveraging his background in private markets, he will partner with global private banks and wealth managers to broaden access to the firm’s alternative investment strategies spanning private equity, private credit, real estate, and infrastructure while driving client education, market engagement, and relationship management.
This appointment follows a period of strong growth for Franklin Templeton’s Private Markets Wealth business, driven by rising client demand for institutional-quality private markets access and key milestones such as the launch of Franklin Lexington PE Secondaries Fund (FLEX-I)2, the firm’s first open-ended fund for wealth investors, which has surpassed $1.5 billion. The build-out of specialist resources forms a central part of the firm’s strategy to enhance client engagement, education and distribution across private markets solutions.
George Szemere, Head of Alternatives, EMEA Wealth Management said: “We are delighted to welcome Kayode to the team. His experience in evergreen product development, client engagement, consultant relations and capital raising aligns closely with our strategy to expand institutional-quality private markets access for wealth investors. Demand for private markets solutions in wealth portfolios continues to rise and Kayode’s expertise will be invaluable in scaling our offerings and supporting clients across the region. In 2026, we are excited to expand our private markets platform and launch further strategies for the wealth channel.”
Adedoyin is a CFA Charterholder and joins Franklin Templeton from Schroders Capital, where he specialised in developing multi-private asset solutions for institutional, intermediary and wealth clients. Prior to this, he was part of the Schroders Solutions team, gaining deep expertise in complex investment strategy analysis and delivering tailored investment solutions for clients. He also contributed to product strategy initiatives, helping shape the firm’s offering to meet evolving client needs.
