Matt Hinkle, CFA

Matt Hinkle leads the global operations function overseeing the middle- and back-office fund accounting, investment operations, client reporting teams and fund shareholder servicing. In this capacity Mr. Hinkle leads a team of over 1,600 employees in twenty-three countries.

Prior to his current role Mr. Hinkle served as Senior Vice President, responsible for Global Fund Administration & Oversight and as Chief Executive Officer - Finance and Administration for the Franklin Templeton SEC-registered U.S. mutual funds. Mr. Hinkle joined the firm in 1996 and over that time served in various roles supporting the Franklin Templeton products including the role of Treasurer, Chief Accounting and Chief Financial Officer for the Franklin Mutual Series Funds and the Franklin Ft. Lee Funds, as well as serving as vice president overseeing the Global Fund Tax Department. Mr. Hinkle has served as a member of various ICI committees and other industry working groups during his tenure at Franklin Templeton.

Mr. Hinkle has a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural & Managerial Economics from the University of California, Davis. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder.
