The UK equity team, previously part of Martin Currie, has now formally aligned under ClearBridge Investments, as of the 30 September 2025.

This new structure will optimise the combined strengths of the UK equity team and ClearBridge Investments. The team will maintain their investment autonomy and will have access to broader resources to benefit clients.

This fund invests in companies which we believe will be the income stocks of tomorrow.

 

Our portfolio companies generate sufficient free cash flow to continue to return capital to shareholders while also reinvesting to grow their businesses.

 

The fund aims to achieve capital appreciation and outperform the FTSE All-Share Index over the medium to long term.

Growth oriented

The fund  is focused on income growth over time rather than a yield target

Quality focus

The fund favours attractively valued, dividend-paying companies with strong balance sheets and sustainable cash flows.

Low cost

An annual management fee of 0.45%  and an ongoing charge (OCF) of 0.52% for the W (acc) share class

What do we invest in?

We invest in companies that we believe are the income stocks of tomorrow:

  • At least 70% of net assets invested are in companies that have grown their dividends at least eight out of the last 10 years, except during exceptional market circumstances
  • They operate within structurally growing industries
  • They exhibit pricing power

Our investment approach

We have a common-sense approach to investing. Using a disciplined and proven process, we have created a concentrated portfolio made up of what we believe to be the highest quality dividend payers in the UK.

Screening: We screen for companies that have grown their dividend in at least eight of the past ten years and have a payout ratio of 70% or lower.

Less cyclical: We tend to invest within structurally growing industries, generally avoiding cyclical businesses, which are more dependent on economic conditions.

High quality compounders: we invest in companies that we believe can grow earnings, and therefore their share price consistently by doing a good job in reinvesting capital.

The FTF ClearBridge UK Rising Dividends Fund is managed by the large cap UK Equity team at ClearBridge. The team has been managing portfolios since 1985. They create high conviction portfolios with a long-term investment view. Based in Leeds, our close-knit team builds dividend-based strategies to help investors seeking a regular or growing income.

What are the Key Fund Risks?

FTF ClearBridge UK Rising Dividends Fund

The value of shares in the Fund and income received from it can go down as well as up and investors may not get back the full amount invested. Performance may also be affected by currency fluctuations. Currency fluctuations may affect the value of overseas investments.There is no guarantee that the Fund will meet its objective.

The Fund invests mainly in equity securities of UK companies that have paid consistently rising dividends. Such securities have historically been subject to price movements due to company-specific factors and movements in the equity markets of the UK generally.

Risks materially relevant not adequately captured by the indicator:

Charges from capital: The fund's fees and expenses may be taken from its capital (rather than income). This will result in an increase in income available for distribution to investors. However, this will forego some of the capital that the share class has available for future investment and potential growth.

Concentration risk: the risk that arises when a fund invests in relatively few holdings, few sectors or a restricted geographic area. Performance may be more volatile than a fund with a greater number of securities.

Single Country/Region Risk: This fund invests primarily in UK, which means that it is more sensitive to local economic, market, political or regulatory events in UK, and will be more affected by these events than other funds that invest in a broader range of regions.

Equity risk: prices of equities may be affected by factors such as economic, political, market, and issuer-specific changes. Such changes may adversely affect the value of the equities regardless of company-specific performance.

Liquidity risk: the risk that arises when adverse market conditions affect the ability to sell assets when necessary. Such risk may be triggered by (but not limited to) unexpected events such as environmental disasters or pandemics. Reduced liquidity may have a negative impact on the price of the assets.
