Brett Risser is senior vice president and head of quantitative equity portfolio management at Franklin Templeton Investment Solutions. He leads the design, implementation, and ongoing evolution of quantitative equity strategies across global markets, with responsibility for portfolio construction, risk architecture, and research innovation. He also plays a central role in advancing the firm’s integrated portfolio platform and broader quantitative investment capabilities.

Mr. Risser brings over 25 years of investment experience spanning quantitative equity, asset allocation, and long/short strategies. Prior to joining Franklin Templeton, he spent nearly two decades at Putnam Investments, where he was a portfolio manager in the Global Asset Allocation group. In that role, he helped shape strategic and tactical positioning across multi-asset portfolios and managed a range of international equity strategies, including long-only international equity, concentrated long/short international equity, and long/short emerging markets equity.

Earlier in his career at Putnam, Mr. Risser was a quantitative analyst in the Equities group, developing and maintaining quantitative models used in security selection and portfolio construction. He began his career at State Street Research & Management Company as both an equity research associate and quantitative research associate.

Mr. Risser earned a bachelor of science in computer information systems from Suffolk University.
