Garey co-manages numerous Canadian equity strategies and is the Head of Canadian Equities at ClearBridge Investments.

He joined the firm in 1998 and the investment industry in 1992.

Garey began his tenure with the Canadian Equity Team at Bissett Investment Management as the Director of Equity Research, which was acquired by Franklin Templeton and renamed Franklin Bissett. During that time, he was named Chief Investment Officer. Franklin Bissett Investment Management became part of ClearBridge in 2023. Prior to this, he was an Assistant Treasurer at Poco Petroleums; and an Account Officer at Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce.

Garey received an M.B.A. in finance from the University of British Columbia and Bachelor of Commerce in finance from the University of Alberta. He is a CFA® charterholder.
