James J. Battaglia, CFA

James J. Battaglia is a vice president and research analyst for Franklin Equity Group. He is responsible for the cyclical sectors (industrials, materials, energy). Mr. Battaglia also serves as the investment team's dedicated ESG Ambassador, a role focused on ensuring effective integration of ESG into the team's fundamental, bottom-up analysis to provide a more comprehensive view of the potential risks and rewards of an investment.

Prior to joining Franklin Templeton in 2004, Mr. Battaglia was an analyst with Citigroup Asset Management covering industrial companies, and an analyst at Rochdale Investment Management covering small-cap equities. He entered the financial services industry in 1994.

Mr. Battaglia holds a B.S. in finance from Le Moyne College and an M.S. in investment management from Pace University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
