Joe Boerio is executive vice president, chief risk & transformation officer for Franklin Templeton. In this role, Mr. Boerio is responsible for the company's risk functions, including direct oversight of Enterprise Risk Management, Investment Risk Management, Cyber Risk Management, Business Resilience & 3rd Party Risk Management. In addition, he oversees strategic sourcing/procurement, market data services, travel services and enterprise vendor management.
Mr. Boerio is a visionary global leader who is passionate about enabling business outcomes through innovative transformation and has more than 35 years of proven results in enterprise information technology, operational excellence, risk management and global business enablement.
Prior to his current position, Mr. Boerio was Senior Vice President, Chief Technology Officer, responsible for infrastructure services, investment management systems & data science, FinTech and rapid development. Prior to joining Franklin Templeton in 1988, Mr. Boerio worked for Mariners Systems, a software development firm that specialized in developing software applications and communication systems focused on infrastructure delivery for worldwide logistics and transportation customers.
Mr. Boerio earned his bachelor's degree in information systems management from the University of San Francisco.
