Patrick H.E. O'Connor

Patrick O'Connor is head of Global Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) for Franklin Templeton Investments. Mr. O'Connor has primary responsibility for the development and execution of the firm's ETF capabilities. He brings industry leading expertise on the design, launch, investment management and operations of ETFs.

Prior to joining Franklin Templeton in 2015, Mr. O'Connor spent 16 years at BlackRock (formerly Barclays Global Investors) and held several executive positions, most notably as managing director and head of iShares Equity Portfolio Management. At BlackRock, he was responsible for more than 250 index and smart beta funds. He has led numerous product launches, including both mutual funds and ETFs, and was an original member of the iShares Launch Team in 1999.

Mr. O'Connor earned an M.B.A. with an emphasis in Finance from Fordham University and a B.A. in History from the University of California at Davis.
