Sergio Guerrien

Sergio M. Guerrien is the head of the South American region, overseeing 6 countries: Uruguay, Chile, Argentina, Peru, Colombia and Paraguay. He is responsible for the development of Franklin Templeton in both offshore and onshore markets within South America including sales, marketing, client service and the planning process for the wealth and institutional distribution strategies, ensuring the organization ’s continued success in these key markets.

Sergio has a distinguished career at Franklin Templeton and over three decades of experience in the investment management industry. From 2004-2016, he served as head of sales for Franklin Templeton Offshore products in Latin America. Sergio joined Franklin Templeton Investments in 1995 as part of the team that set up the first office in Latin America.

Prior to joining Franklin Templeton, he contributed with financial expertise as a senior steel and commodity trader at Batory Inc., a leading trading house.

Mr. Guerrien received a B.A. in economics from Universidad de Buenos Aires (Argentina) and has a FT Academic innovation certificate from the University of California, Berkely (USA). Sergio is fluent in Spanish, English and French.
